Drupal website for a non-profit organization.
Global Reach Out (GRO), a non-profit organization that conducts programs overseas, needed an upgrade from a static HTML website.
I handled both front end and back end design. Drupal was the choice of framework for this project, due to GRO's need to manage an ever-growing amount of web-based content. Additionally, Drupal's module system meant we would be able to extend the functionality of the CMS in any way we wanted.
A unique aspect of the GRO website is that it can receive content updates via email. When GRO delegations travel to a less-developed country, web access may be iffy, but email access is generally possible. By developing the ability to submit content updates to the website via email, we reduced overseas Internet access costs and allowed delegation coordinators to make updates instantly without waiting until they had access to a stable Internet connection for web access.
